Introduction F Block (built in 1943) was a single storey building with 16 spurs off a central corridor together with an 'E-shaped' annexe on the south side. At one time there was a total of 10 Colossus machines housed within F and H Block. Gifford House From about 1949, F Block was the dormitory for Post Office staff during their training courses at The Park. A cinema was installed to one of the spurs circa 1955. During British Telecom's occupation of the site, the whole block was demolished in 1987.
