Introduction The new Connected-Earth display opened at Milton Keynes in October 2013. It focuses on the switching side of telecommunications history with working a Unit Automatic Exchange (UAX) and Crossbar switch as well as two Strowger based mobile trailers (a MNDX and a MAX12). Milton Keynes Museum is based at the former Stacey Hill Farm and incorporates a wide selection of museum themes over a number of buildings within the complex. The Telephone Museum officially joined BT's Connected Earth partnership on 26th March 2003. BT stepped back from the Connected-Earth project and finally disbanded the dedicated website in 2019. The partner museums continue to look after and promote the items across the many collections. |
