The Event This successfully took place as scheduled, although no Openreach vehicles were present. The winner of the Rally was Austin Maestro (500 City) F671 OWS, splendidly featuring the British Telecom golden yellow livery. Flyer Chris Hogan of the Post Office Vehicle Club writes... "Following last year’s successful event at the Milton Keynes Museum, we are again holding our main vehicle gathering (Telephone & Post Office Vehicle Gathering) at this attractive venue on Sunday 26th April 2015. Vehicle owners are invited to bring a GPO/Post Office/BT/Royal Mail vehicle or motor cycle(s) for display at this event at the museum. The public hours will be from 11am to 4pm giving vehicle owners sufficient time to get their vehicles to the museum and ready for display by 11am. The intention is to follow the format we used last year with a parade of motor-cycles and vehicles around the site, and a presentation of the Post Office Trophy for the best vehicle restoration, judged by the preservationists bringing their vehicles. Milton Keynes Museum is located in Wolverton and is easily accessible from the A5 trunk road." See www.povehclub.org.uk/ for further details. |
