Looking back to the
Sixties at the Tower's 40th birthday:
The Postmaster General, Anthony Wedgwood Benn, said that the
Post Office Tower symbolised 20th-century Britain. Lean,
practical and futuristic, it epitomised the technical and
architectural skills of the second industrial revolution.

by an exhibition at the Museum of London and a party...

The Museum of London, in partnership with Connected - Earth
held an exhibition of the Tower's history. The exhibition
ran from 1st October - 30th November 2005. "BT Tower's 40th
birthday. A foyer display examines this key London
landmark."
