Introduction

The Vauxhall Corsa is the commonplace small car/van derivative for BT duties. In the photo above there are considerable differences between the 2006 and 2009 models, such as the rear light clusters. The BT website address is included on the 2006 model, whereas the later 2009 version has the simplified branding of just the BT globe. Also new is the 'vehicle limited to 70' green circle on the hatchback.

Vehicle Limited to 70 mph Circa July 2007:  "To help protect the environment, vehicle limited to 70 mph."
To help protect the environment, vehicle limited to 70mph.
"Speed limiters will initially be set at 70 mph on all new light and medium vans including Corsa, Combo, Vivaro, Transit and Tonner. The limits will be set by activating the engine management systems in the factory prior to delivery. Drivers will not suffer any loss of acceleration or power up to 70 mph. Vehicles will have a driver notice in the cab and an externally mounted 'vehicle limited to 70 mph' sticker on the rear. This move is expected to result in fuel economies for BT, complementing other initiatives to reduce BT's carbon footprint, and support safer driving habits."
