activity for the Post Office. Publications for schools
extended to careers advice and apprenticeship schemes.

period that the Post Office was a united organisation under
government control.

popular poster sent to schools to illustrate the connection
of a long- distance phone call, using the relatively new
Subscriber Trunk Dialling (STD).
