In 1970s the first Yellow Pages TV Ad was launched using the tagline 'Let your fingers do the walking'.

Yellow Pages: The Tune

In June 1970 the pop group Christie had a UK number one hit with 'Yellow River' which was written by Jeff Christie. The Post Office bought the rights from the publisher to use the tune as part of the advertising campaign for their Yellow Pages TV adverts.
