You may want to work in Central London or somewhere closer to home. London Telephones covers a wide area and we can usually offer the kind of location you want. Where to work? Central London or Outer London? Each has its advantages. If you want to be close to the West End's department stores and entertainment, you'll prefer to work in Central London, where there are usually immediate vacancies. For working there you'll receive a special allowance. Whichever you choose, the hours you work will be a help. Sometimes you'll be starting as late as 9.30 am, which gives you time for work around the house or for shopping. Sometimes you'll finish as early as 4.30pm, which gives plenty of time to prepare the evening meal, get ready for an evening out, or fit in an appointment at the hairdresser. As a night telephonist, you'll be working evenings, nights and some Sundays. Most weekends you'll start at 6pm. If you're a family man, you'll be home to meet your children out of school, or take them to the park while most fathers are still at work. Whatever you choose to do during the day, you'll find it easier because you can avoid the rush hours. We will do our best to find out the type and place of work to suit your needs. Training is carried out in small groups with experienced instructors and audio equipment. Our instructors and supervisors will bring out the best in you. In London you'll be able to follow your favourite sport and social activity, backed by the Post Office which is the Country's largest employer. No one can concentrate for long periods without strain. Most exchanges have coffee bars. Prices are reasonable and everyone gets regular relaxation. Comfortable rest rooms are provided in more and more exchanges. |
